Prometheus 2 has a Release Date?

In movie news today, an official release date was set for Prometheus 2 at least for now. Shocking enough, it seems that a lot of fans are not interested in a follow up movie. Check out more on this below and share your thoughts after the JUMP!

The sequel that no one asked for, except studio accountants and Ridley Scott, is coming. That’s right “Prometheus 2: Paradise” has a release date. While we don’t know much about the plot, we do have a “Prometheus 2” release date: March 4, 2016. It is quite a long wait, but Ridley Scott has to use the intervening time to complete his classic-film-punching hat trick with a mysterious “Blade Runner” project (for those keeping score, Ridley Scott has already made a terrible entry in both the “Alien” and “Silence of the Lambs” series). He will also be directing a Matt Damon sci-fi project entitled “The Martian,” which actually sounds pretty interesting. With two movies to direct before the “Prometheus 2” release date, don’t be surprised if “Prometheus 2” is either delayed again (it was originally scheduled for 2015), or is handed over to someone else to direct, with Ridley Scott stepping back into a producer role.
